Geology Act Article 4
In order to establish a national geological database, the central competent authority shall organize national geological surveys, the content of which shall be as follows:1. National basic geological survey.2. National geological resources survey.3. National geological hazards survey.4. Other geological surveys approved by the central competent authority.Content of the national geological surveys in the preceding paragraph shall be comprehensively reviewed at least once every 5 years

為建立全國地質資料，中央主管機關應辦理全國地質調查；其調查內容如下：
一、全國基本地質調查。
二、全國資源地質調查。
三、全國地質災害調查。
四、其他經中央主管機關認定之地質調查。
前項全國地質調查之調查內容，至少每五年應通盤檢討一次。
