Sand and Gravel Excavation Act Article 7
The area applied for shall not exceed twenty hectares for river and water-area sand and gravel excavation, and shall not exceed one hundred hectares for each of coastal and sea sand and gravel excavation and land-based sand and gravel excavation.A sand and gravel excavation area shall be limited to the space extending vertically downward from its boundary line on the ground surface to the approved excavation depth. The relevant standards for excavation depth shall be prescribed and publicly announced jointly by the Central Competent Authority and the relevant authorities.

申請河川及水域土石採取區域之面積，應在二十公頃以下；濱海及海域土石採取區域，應在一百公頃以下；陸上土石採取區域，應在一百公頃以下。
