The Regulations for Safekeeping and Management of Money and Properties of Inmates in Prison and Detention Center Article 8
When an Inmate is released, the Authority shall calculate and deliver the Money under Safekeeping and Labor Wage to the Inmate, and procure the Inmate’s signature or fingerprint on the collection document (in duplicates). The first copy shall be given to the Inmate for safekeeping. The second copy shall be kept by the Authority.If the balance amount delivered under the preceding paragraph exceeds NT$100,000, the Authority may deliver in the form of post office draft purchased on the Inmate’s behalf or by issuing a state treasury check.

收容人釋放時，機關應結算其保管金及勞作金交付之，並使收容人於領取文件（一式二聯）簽名或捺印，第一聯交收容人收執，第二聯由機關留存。
前項交付之結餘款合計超過新臺幣十萬元者，機關得以代購郵政匯票或開立國庫支票方式交付。
