Regulations Governing the Management of Use of Guard instruments, Protective Restraints and Placement in Protective Cell in Detention Centers Article 10
Detention centers shall use protective restraints to constrain and protect defendants’ bodies or limbs by using the protective restraining gears. Types and specifications of protective restraining gears are as follows:1. Limb restraining belt: made of cotton, cloth or other suitable materials to restrain and protect the defendant’s wrists or ankles and restrict the movement of the defendant’s limbs or fix the defendant onto the sick bed.2. Chest restraining belt: made of cotton, cloth or other suitable materials to restrain and protect the defendant's chest and restrict the movement of the defendant’s body or fix the defendant onto the sick bed.3. Abdomen and lumbar restraining belt: made of cotton, cloth or other suitable materials to restrain and protect the defendant's abdomen or waist and restrict the movement of the defendant’s body or fix the defendant onto the sick bed.4. Restraining gloves: made of cotton, cloth or other suitable materials to restrain and protect the defendant's palms and restrict the movement of the defendant’s palms.5. Other protective restraining gears approved by the supervisory authority.

看守所施以固定保護，得以保護性約束工具，拘束被告身體或四肢。
保護性約束工具種類及規格如下：
一、四肢約束帶：指以棉、布或其他合適之素材製作，用以拘束保護被告手腕或腳踝，限制其四肢活動或固定於病床之器材。
二、胸部約束帶：指以棉、布或其他合適之素材製作，用以拘束保護被告胸部，限制其身體活動或固定於病床之器材。
三、腹腰部約束帶：指以棉、布或其他合適之素材製作，用以拘束保護被告腹部或腰部，限制其身體活動或固定於病床之器材。
四、約束手套：指以棉、布或其他合適之素材製作，用以拘束保護被告手掌，限制其手掌活動之器材。
五、其他經監督機關核定之保護性約束工具。
