Attorney Regulation Act Article 114
A “foreign attorney” as used herein denotes an attorney who has been licensed to practice law in a country or region other than the Republic of China.A “foreign legal affairs attorney” as used herein denotes a foreign attorney” who is permitted by the Ministry of Justice to practice law and by a bar association to be admitted to such bar association.“Home jurisdiction” as used herein denotes the country or region where a foreign attorney obtained his/her foreign attorney license to practice law.

本法稱外國律師，指在中華民國以外之國家或地區，取得律師資格之律師。
本法稱外國法事務律師，指經法務部許可執行職務及經律師公會同意入會之外國律師。
本法稱原資格國，指外國律師取得外國律師資格之國家或地區。
本法稱外國法事務律師，指經法務部許可執行職務及經律師公會同意入會之外國律師。
