A person who cultivates the poppy plant intent to be used to manufacture opium or morphine shall be sentenced to imprisonment for not more than five years; in addition thereto, a fine of not more than ninety thousand dollars may be imposed.A person who sells or transports poppy seeds for purpose that they be used to manufacture opium or morphine shall be sentenced to imprisonment for not more than three years; in addition thereto, a fine of not more than ninety thousand dollars may be imposed.An attempt to commit an offense specified in one of the two preceding paragraphs is punishable.

意圖供製造鴉片、嗎啡之用而栽種罌粟者，處五年以下有期徒刑，得併科九萬元以下罰金。
意圖供製造鴉片、嗎啡之用而販賣或運輸罌粟種子者，處三年以下有期徒刑，得併科九萬元以下罰金。
前二項之未遂犯罰之。
