Act Governing the Recovery of Damage of Individual Rights during the Period of Martial Law Article 2
The term “ period of Martial Law” under this Act refers to the Taiwan district that was under Martial Law during the period between May 20, 1949, and July 14, 1987；and the Kinmen, Matsu, Dongsha (Pratas Island), and Nansha (Spratly Islands) districts were under Martial Law during the period between December 10, 1948, and November 6, 1992.

本條例所稱戒嚴時期，台灣地區係指自民國三十八年五月二十日起至七十六年七月十四日止宣告戒嚴之期間；金門、馬祖、東沙、南沙地區係指自民國三十七年十二月十日起至八十一年十一月六日止宣告戒嚴之期間。
