Civil Code Article 944

It is presumed that the possessor possesses a thing with the intent of being its owner, in good faith, peacefully, openly and not negligently.If it is proved that possession existed at the beginning and at the end of a period, it is presumed that the possessor has been in continuous possession during the intermediate time.

占有人推定其為以所有之意思，善意、和平、公然及無過失占有。
經證明前後兩時為占有者，推定前後兩時之間，繼續占有。
