The pledgee shall keep custody of the thing pledged with the due care of a good administrator.The pledgee may not use the thing pledged or lease it to others except with the consent of the pledgor, provided that use necessary for the preservation of the thing pledged is not subject to this restriction.

質權人應以善良管理人之注意，保管質物。
質權人非經出質人之同意，不得使用或出租其質物。
但為保存其物之必要而使用者，不在此限。
