Civil Code Article 887

Unless otherwise provided by a covenant, a pledge secures the principal claim, interest, default interest, default penalties, cost of preserving the thing pledged, cost of executing the pledge, and damages for any injury arising from a concealed defect in the thing pledged.The cost of preserving the thing pledged referred to in the preceding paragraph shall be limited to the cost necessary for preventing impairment of the value of the thing pledged.

質權所擔保者為原債權、利息、遲延利息、違約金、保存質物之費用、實行質權之費用及因質物隱有瑕疵而生之損害賠償。
但契約另有約定者，不在此限。
