Civil Code Article 413

If the gift is made subject to a charge and it is insufficient to defray the charge, the donee is bound to perform the charge only up to the extent of the value of the gift.

附有負擔之贈與，其贈與不足償其負擔者，受贈人僅於贈與之價值限度內，有履行其負擔之責任。
