Act to Implement the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights Article 1
This Act is enacted to implement the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (hereafter the two Covenants), adopted by the United Nations in 1966, and to strengthen our country’s human rights protection regimes.

為實施聯合國一九六六年公民與政治權利國際公約（InternationalCovenantonCivilandPoliticalRights）及經濟社會文化權利國際公約（InternationalCovenantonEconomicSocialandCulturalRights）（以下合稱兩公約），健全我國人權保障體系，特制定本法。
