The Special Education Act Article 21
The central competent authority shall establish the curriculum guidelines and relevant regulations for special education in schools up to and including the senior high level, which serve as the basis for schools in planning and implementing their curriculum; schools may incorporate community resources to enrich their instructional activities.The research and development as well as review of the curriculum guidelines for special education shall comply with the relevant provisions of the Senior High School Education Act.

中央主管機關應訂定高級中等以下學校特殊教育相關課程綱要及其實施之有關規定，作為學校規劃及實施課程之依據；學校規劃課程得結合社會資源充實教學活動。
