Regulations for the Establishment and Management of Private Elementary Schools, Junior and Senior High Schools, and Affiliated Preschools for International Residents Article 11
To apply for the establishment of a SIR, the founder shall draw up the “Plan to Establish a School for International Students” (hereinafter as “Establishment Plan” or “Plan”). The Plan shall first acquire the consent of the residents’ respective country from its diplomatic mission or representative agency in Taiwan. The Plan then is sent to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for further recognition before the Ministry agrees to pass the Plan to the municipal or county (city) government for final approval.
