Criminal Code of the Armed Forces Article 52
A person who publicly insults a commander shall be punished with imprisonment for not more than two years, detention or a fine of not more than 200,000 yuan.A person who publicly insults a senior officer shall be punished with imprisonment for not more than one year, detention or a fine of not more than 100,000 yuan.A person who by circulating a writing, drawing, speech or other means commits an offence specified in the two preceding article shall have the punishment increased up to one half.Prosecution for an offence specified in the three preceding articles may be instituted only upon complaint.

公然侮辱長官者，處二年以下有期徒刑、拘役或新臺幣二十萬元以下罰金。
公然侮辱上官者，處一年以下有期徒刑，拘役或新臺幣十萬元以下罰金。
以文字、圖畫、演說或他法，犯前二項之罪者，加重其刑至二分之一。
前三項之罪，須告訴乃論。
