Criminal Code of the Armed Forces Article 40
A person who leaves the position in service without reasons or does not assume his /her service over six days shall be punished with imprisonment for not more than three years, detention, or a fine of not more than 300,000 yuan.A person who leaves the position in service without reasons or does not assume service over six days in wartime shall be punished with imprisonment for not less than three years and not more than ten years.A person who leaves the position in his /her without reasons or does not to assume service over thirty days or of which over six days in wartime shall be punished according to the preceding regulation.

無故離去或不就職役逾六日者，處三年以下有期徒刑、拘役或新臺幣三十萬元以下罰金。
戰時無故離去或不就職役者，處三年以上十年以下有期徒刑。
無故離去或不就職役逾三十日，或戰時逾六日者，依前條之規定處罰。
戰時無故離去或不就職役者，處三年以上十年以下有期徒刑。
無故離去或不就職役逾三十日，或戰時逾六日者，依前條之規定處罰。
