Act of Military Service System Article 17
Replacement Service is served by those suitable for serving Active Standing Soldiers but not serve due to family factors or being selected to be members of national teams by the Ministry of Education or the Ministry of Labor, or by those with physical status of serving Substitute Services but not serve Substitute Services. Those who serve Replacement Service after passing military training for no more than two months will be enlisted for control and usage by the Ministry of National Defense according to military needs.The qualifications, application, approval, procedures, and cancellation of serving Replacement Service due to family factors and by those with physical status of serving Substitute Services prescribed in the preceding Paragraph are determined by the Ministry of the Interior. The qualifications, application, approval, procedures, cancellation, revocation, obligations to be performed, and other related matters of the members of national teams serving Replacement Service are determined by the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Labor respectively.The rules of training, control, usage, and other related matters of the Replacement Service prescribed in Paragraph 1 are determined by the Ministry of National Defense.

補充兵役以適合服常備兵現役，因家庭因素，或經教育部、勞動部核定之國家代表隊者，或替代役體位未服替代役者服之，由國防部依軍事需要，施以二個月以內之軍事訓練，合格後列管、運用。
前項因家庭因素與替代役體位服補充兵之資格、申請、核准、程序及廢止等事項之辦法，由內政部定之；國家代表隊服補充兵之資格、申請、核准、程序、廢止、撤銷、應履行之義務及其他相關事項之辦法，由教育部、勞動部分別定之。
第一項補充兵服役之訓練、列管、運用及其他相關事項之規則，由國防部定之。
前項因家庭因素與替代役體位服補充兵之資格、申請、核准、程序及廢止等事項之辦法，由內政部定之；國家代表隊服補充兵之資格、申請、核准、程序、廢止、撤銷、應履行之義務及其他相關事項之辦法，由教育部、勞動部分別定之。
第一項補充兵服役之訓練、列管、運用及其他相關事項之規則，由國防部定之。
