Fire Services Act Article 17
(Establishment of Fire Hydrant)When required by fire control, the municipal, and county/city governments shall join the water supply company to select each proper location for the establishment of a fire hydrant at the cost to be reasonably subsidized by the municipal, county/city governments, and town office while the maintenance of the fire hydrant shall be provided by the water supply company.

直轄市、縣（市）政府，為消防需要，應會同自來水事業機構選定適當地點，設置消防栓，所需費用由直轄市、縣（市）政府、鄉（鎮、市）公所酌予補助：其保養、維護由自來水事業機構負責。
