Standard for Installation of Fire Safety Devices based on Use and Occupancy Article 15
Indoor hydrant shall be equipped in the following places:1.Buildings less than 5 stories: used for the purposes listed in Article 12, Subparagraph 1, Item 1, and the floor area of each story is more than 300m2; used for the purposes listed in other items of the same Subparagraph and in Subparagraph 2 to Subparagraph 4, and the floor area of any story is more than 500m2; or used as school classrooms, the floor area of any story is more than 1400m2.2.Buildings with more than 6 stories: used for the purposes listed in Article 12, Subparagraph 1 to Subparagraph 4, and the floor area of any story is more than 150m2.3.Underground building with a total floor area of more than 150m2.4.Underground floor or no-opening story: used for the purposes listed in Article 12, Subparagraph 1, item 1, and the floor area is more than 100m2; used for the purposes of places listed in other items in Subparagraph 1 and in Subparagraph 2 to Subparagraph 4, and the floor area of each story is more than 150m2.In the above-mentioned places where the indoor hydrant is equipped, if equipment such as automatic sprinkler (including aided sprinkler), water mist, foam, carbon dioxide, inert gas clean agent, halocarbon clean agent, or dry chemical firefighting systems or outdoor hydrant has been installed pursuant to this Standard, indoor hydrant can be exempted in the effective range of such areas. When an outdoor hydrant is equipped, indoor hydrants can only be exempted within a horizontal walking distance of 40m from the effective range of the aforementioned outdoor hydrant on the first and second floors.

下列場所應設置室內消防栓設備：
一、五層以下建築物，供第十二條第一款第一目所列場所使用，任何一層樓地板面積在三百平方公尺以上者；供同款其他各目及第二款至第四款所列場所使用，任何一層樓地板面積在五百平方公尺以上者；或為學校教室任何一層樓地板面積在一千四百平方公尺以上者。
二、六層以上建築物，供第十二條第一款至第四款所列場所使用，任何一層之樓地板面積在一百五十平方公尺以上者。
三、總樓地板面積在一百五十平方公尺以上之地下建築物。
四、地下層或無開口之樓層，供第十二條第一款第一目所列場所使用，樓地板面積在一百平方公尺以上者；供第一款其他各目及第二款至第四款所列場所使用，樓地板面積在一百五十平方公尺以上者。
前項應設室內消防栓設備之場所，依本標準設有室外消防栓、自動撒水（含補助撒水栓）、水霧、泡沫、二氧化碳、惰性氣體、鹵化烴或乾粉等滅火設備者，在該有效範圍內，得免設室內消防栓設備。
但設有室外消防栓設備時，在第一層水平距離四十公尺以下、第二層步行距離四十公尺以下有效滅火範圍內，室內消防栓設備限於第一層、第二層免設。
