Oath Act Article 4
Persons administering oath-taking are specified as follows:1. The justice of the Judicial Yuan shall administer the oaths of the legislators, speaker and deputy speaker of the Legislative Yuan; The judge of the equivalent-level court shall administer the oaths of the councilors, speaker, and deputy speaker of council of the special municipality and county/city; and designated personnel from local autonomy supervising government agencies shall administer the oaths of the representatives, chairperson, and deputy chairperson of township/city council.2. The President or designated persons shall administer the oaths of the political appointees of the central government, justices of the Judicial Yuan, members of the Examination Yuan, members, president, and vice president of the Control Yuan, and ambassadors and ministers.3. The oaths of the remaining personnel specified in Article 2 shall be administered by the heads of working agencies, heads of supervising agencies, or designated persons.

宣誓之監誓人，依下列之規定：
一、立法委員、立法院院長、副院長之宣誓，由大法官一人監誓；直轄市議會議員、議長、副議長及縣（市）議會議員、議長、副議長之宣誓，由同級法院法官一人監誓；鄉（鎮、市）民代表會代表、主席、副主席之宣誓，由各該自治監督機關派員監誓。
二、中央政府各機關政務人員、大法官、考試委員、監察委員、監察院院長、副院長及駐外大使、公使館公使之宣誓，由總統監誓或派員監誓。
三、第二條其他人員，由各該機關首長或其監督機關首長監誓或派員監誓。
