National Police Agency Organization Act, Ministry of the Interior Article 6
The Agency’s subordinate departments and their functions are as follows:1. Criminal Investigation Bureau: responsible for crime investigation and prevention.2. Aviation Police Bureau: responsible for airport safety and security.3. National Highway Police Bureau: responsible for safety and security on national highways and designated expressways.4. Railway Police Bureau: responsible for railway safety and security.5. Special Police Corps: responsible for public order, reserve forces for riot control, vigilance, guarding, and public safety and security.6. Harbor Police Departments: responsible for harbor safety and security.The Criminal Investigation Bureau and the National Highway Police Bureau may each appoint three deputy directors-general; other subordinate departments may appoint one or two deputy directors-general.The subordinate departments of the Agency may establish operational units as necessary to meet duty requirements.

本署之次級機關及其業務如下：
一、刑事警察局：執行犯罪偵防事項。
二、航空警察局：執行機場治安及安全維護事項。
三、國道公路警察局：執行國道與經指定之快速公路治安及安全維護事項。
四、鐵路警察局：執行鐵路治安及安全維護事項。
五、各保安警察總隊：執行保安、警備、警戒、警衛、治安及安全維護事項。
六、各港務警察總隊：執行港區治安及安全維護事項。
刑事警察局、國道公路警察局得置副首長三人，其他次級機關（構）得置副首長一人或二人。
本署次級機關（構）為應勤務需要，得設勤務單位。
