Organic Act of the Control Yuan National Human Rights Commission Article 8

The NHRC shall have one executive secretary ranked at level 12 to level 13 of the senior rank; one deputy executive secretary, ranked at level 11 to level 12 of the senior rank; 3 division chiefs ranked at level 10 to level 11 of the senior rank; 2 to 3 senior executive officers ranked at level 10 to level 11 of the senior rank; 3 to 6 secretaries ranked at level 8 to level 9 of the junior rank; 6 to 8 executive officers ranked at level 7 to level 9 of the junior rank; 11 to 16 officers ranked at level 5 of the elementary rank or level 6 to level 7 of the junior rank; 4 to 6 junior officers ranked at level 4 to level 5 of the elementary rank, 3 of whom may be ranked at level 6 of the junior rank; and one clerk ranked at level 3 to level 5 of the elementary rank.NHRC staff shall be assigned by the President of the Control Yuan as necessitated by the workload.When needed, the NHRC may, on a contractual basis, employ 6 to 12 persons who are specialized in human rights issues and human rights protections or have experience in working with civic groups concerned with human rights, in accordance with regulations on the employment of contractual personnel.The NHRC may appoint a number of domestic or foreign human rights consultants whose selection method shall be stipulated separately.
