Organic Act of the Control Yuan National Human Rights Commission Article 1
In accordance with Article 3, Paragraph 2 of the Organic Law of the Control Yuan, the Control Yuan hereby establishes the National Human Rights Commission (“the NHRC”) for the purpose of implementing constitutional protections of the people's rights, laying a foundation for the promotion and protection of human rights, ensuring the realization of social justice and fairness, and complying with international human rights standards by adopting universal human rights values and norms.
