A public official who conducts proceedings in a criminal case shall give equal attention to circumstances both favorable and unfavorable to an accused.An accused may request the public official specified in the preceding paragraph to take necessary measures favorable to the accused.Note: Articles 1 through 343 were amended lastly on February 6, 2003.

實施刑事訴訟程序之公務員，就該管案件，應於被告有利及不利之情形，一律注意。
