Code of Civil Procedure Article 310
The court in which the action is pending shall, after questioning the party who appears, rule on whether the witness's refusal to testify is justifiable. An interlocutory appeal may be taken from the ruling provided in the preceding paragraph; the execution of the ruling shall be stayed pending such appeal.
