A district court shall have judges, judges-in-probation or judges-in-training.When necessary, a district court may set up a judicial assistant position, which shall be filled by various professionals employed or contracted in accordance with the relevant laws. A judicial assistant shall carry out matters such as case procedure review, legal issue analysis, and data collection under the orders of a judge.For those who possess the qualifications to practice as lawyers, the period during which they serve as a judicial assistant shall be counted towards their seniority of legal practice in accordance with the preceding paragraph.Matters concerning personnel selection and appointment, training, operations, managing and performance evaluation of a judicial assistant shall be as prescribed by the Judicial Yuan.

地方法院置法官、試署法官或候補法官。
地方法院於必要時，得置法官助理，依相關法令聘用或約用各種專業人員充任之；承法官之命，辦理案件程序之審查、法律問題之分析、資料之蒐集等事務。
具律師執業資格者，依前項規定充任法官助理期間，計入其律師執業年資。
法官助理之遴用、訓練、業務、管理及考核等相關事項，由司法院定之。
地方法院於必要時，得置法官助理，依相關法令聘用或約用各種專業人員充任之；承法官之命，辦理案件程序之審查、法律問題之分析、資料之蒐集等事務。
具律師執業資格者，依前項規定充任法官助理期間，計入其律師執業年資。
