Regulations on the Final Disposal of High Level Radioactive Waste and Safety Management of the Facilities Article 4
The disposal facilities must not be located in the following areas:1. Active fault or areas in which the geological conditions would affect the safety of the disposal facilities.2. Areas with geochemical conditions not favorable for effectively controlling the spreading of pollution caused by radioactive nuclides and likely to affect the safety of the disposal facilities.3. Areas with surficial or underground hydrographical conditions likely to affect the safety of the disposal facilities.4. Areas with high population density.5. Other areas in which development is prohibited according to law.

高放處置設施場址，不得位於下列地區：
一、活動斷層或地質條件足以影響處置設施安全之地區。
二、地球化學條件不利於有效抑制放射性核種污染擴散，並足以影響處置設施安全之地區。
三、地表或地下水文條件足以影響處置設施安全之地區。
四、高人口密度之地區。
五、其他依法不得開發之地區。
