Nuclear Emergency Response Act Article 11
Responsibility of Nuclear Emergency Response UnitThe Nuclear Emergency Response Dedicated Unit shall:(1) provide relevant support, coordination, and recommendations for the emergency response operations within the nuclear reactor facility upon the occurrence or possible occurrence of a nuclear accident,(2) collect and analyze accident information, and assess radiation dose and the extent of its impact,(3) coordinate with emergency response centers at all levels to carry out relevant response measures,(4) notify, communicate, and coordinate with competent authorities at all levels and request external support, and(5) supervise, evaluate, and conduct exercise planning for emergency response operations within nuclear reactor facilities.

核子事故緊急應變專責單位，應辦理下列事項：
一、核子事故發生或有發生之虞時，核子反應器設施內緊急應變作業有關之支援、協調及建議。
二、事故資料之蒐集、分析與輻射劑量及影響程度之評估。
三、配合各級災害應變中心進行相關之應變措施。
四、與各級主管機關之通報、聯繫與協調及請求設施外支援。
五、核子反應器設施內緊急應變有關業務之督導、考核及演習規劃。
