Regulations on Treatment and Storage of Radioactive Waste and Safety Management of the Facilities Article 3
The design of the radioactive waste treatment facilities (hereinafter referred to as "treatment facilities") shall comply with the following provisions:1.The treatment facilities shall be provided with such functions as fireproof, explosion-proof, and overflow collection;2.The treatment facilities shall employ seismic-resistant design, to ensure the safety of equipment and structures;3.The design of the waste treatment system, equipment, or component shall be able to suppress deterioration, prevent leakage, and reduce the volume of the waste;4.Equipment used to detect the discharge of gas or liquid watse shall be provided.

放射性廢棄物處理設施（以下簡稱處理設施）之設計，應符合下列規定：
一、具有防火、防爆、收集溢流之功能。
二、防震設計，能確保設備及結構之安全。
三、廢棄物處理系統、設備或組件之設計能抑制劣化、防止洩漏，並考慮減少廢棄物容積。
四、具有廢氣或廢液排放之偵測設備。
