The Regulation Governing the Handling of Investigation Procedures for Marine Occurrence Article 10

Following a major marine occurrence, the local government of the area of the occurrence, the authority responsible for the scene of the occurrence, the port management authorities (agencies), the MPB, or the CGA shall, without prejudice to their statutory duties, provide the necessary venues, communication, and office equipment for the operations of the investigation command post and for the temporary storage of the wreckage of the ship.The TTSB may request the port management agencies and police authorities to take necessary security and precautionary measures on-site to prevent wreckage of the ship or hazardous materials on board from endangering the public and to preserve the integrity of the scene.
