In the event of a natural disaster or emergency, the regulatory agencies may direct system operators to stop transmitting programs or designate specific programs or messages to be transmitted, in order to safeguard public safety and welfare.When the situation mentioned in the preceding Paragraph no longer exists, the regulatory agencies shall immediately notify the system operators to revert to transmission of regular programming.Measures for dealing with natural disasters and emergencies mentioned in Paragraph 1 shall be established by the central regulatory agency.

遇有天然災害或緊急事故時，主管機關為維護公共安全與公眾福利，得令系統經營者停止播送節目，或指定其播送特定之節目或訊息。
前項原因消滅後，主管機關應即令該系統經營者回復原狀繼續播送。
第一項之天然災害及緊急事故應變辦法，由中央主管機關定之。
