Hakka Basic Act Article 8
The government shall actively encourage the establishment of regional Hakka cultural cooperation organizations in special municipalities, counties/cities, townships /cities and districts.When districts of municipalities are restructured from townships /cities and are listed as key development areas of Hakka culture, the government shall consider the will of the Hakka ethnic group within these districts so as to ensure the autonomous development of the Hakka language and culture within these areas.

政府應積極鼓勵直轄市、縣（市）及鄉（鎮、市）成立客家文化區域合作組織。
直轄市之區由鄉（鎮、市）改制，且屬客家文化重點發展區者，政府應考量轄內客家族群意願，保障客家族群語言文化之自主發展。
