The Indigenous Peoples Basic Law Article 26

Thegovernment shall actively implement social welfare for indigenous peoples, undertake planning to establish indigenous peoples’ social security system and give special protection to the rights of indigenous children as well as women and mentally or physically disabled indigenous persons.The government may provide subsidies for those indigenous persons who lack resources to participate in the social insurance scheme or use medical and welfare resources.
