In case of marine pollution by oil, chemicals, or other substances, the competent authorities should conduct sampling, testing, and the recording of the environment to assess the degree and extent of water and sediment contamination while ensuring personnel safety.If pollution extends to marine protected areas, the competent authorities should document visible marine life conditions and notify the management unit of the protected area.

海洋遭受油、化學品或其他物質污染，為評估水體、底泥受污染度及範圍，主管機關應於人員安全前提下，進行採樣檢測及環境記錄作業。
