Regulations Governing Coordination & Liaison between Coast Guard Administration and Ministry of Transportation and Communications Article 4
To facilitate the completion of missions, CGA and MOTC (and/or any of its subordinate agencies or organizations) may, depending on the need of their missions, create among them a mechanism for negotiation, and request the other parties to provide information including but not limited to meteorology, hydrology, vehicle registration information, vessel registration information, and other information as well as communication resources required by laws and regulations.CGA and MOTC (and/or any of its subordinate agencies or organizations) shall establish a reporting center, keep close contacts, and immediately notify one another in case of any emergency or major condition.

海巡機關與交通部及所屬機關（構）間，得依任務需要建立協商機制，並依相關法規，請求提供氣象、水文、車籍、船籍及其他資料與通信資源，俾利任務遂行。
海巡機關與交通部及所屬機關（構），應設置相對通報窗口，並密切保持聯繫，遇有緊急或重大狀況時，應即時相互通報。
