Ocean Basic Act Article 7
In order to safeguard and promote our national marine rights and interests, national security, maritime public security, and maritime safety, and in response to major emergencies, the government should use a global perspective and international strategic thinking to enhance the energy of marine affairs execution and strengthen marine power to meet the needs of national survival, security and development.
