Negotiable Instruments Act Article 131
If a check presented by the holder for payment within one of the time limits set forth in Article 130 is dishonored, the holder may exercise their right of recourse against any parties prior to them, provided that they shall apply for and cause a protest to be made on the day of dishonor or within 5 days after the dishonor.If the drawee inserts on the check or on an allonge a statement of the fact of dishonor and the date of dishonor, accompanied by their signature, the statement has the same force and effect as a protest.

執票人於第一百三十條所定提示期限內，為付款之提示而被拒絕時，對於前手得行使追索權。
但應於拒絕付款日或其後五日內，請求作成拒絕證書。
付款人於支票或黏單上記載拒絕文義及其年、月、日並簽名者，與作成拒絕證書，有同一效力。
