Negotiable Instruments Act Article 100
When a person liable for a bill discharges their liabilities by payment, the holder shall surrender the bill and the protest, if any.When a person liable for the bill discharges their liabilities by payment as set forth in the preceding paragraph, the holder shall issue and deliver a receipt and a statement of interest and expenses paid, if any.When an endorser discharges their liabilities on a bill by payment, they may strike out their endorsement and those of parties subsequent to them.

匯票債務人為清償時，執票人應交出匯票，有拒絕證書時，應一併交出。
匯票債務人為前項清償，如有利息及費用者，執票人應出具收據及償還計算書。
背書人為清償時，得塗銷自己及其後手之背書。
