Regulations Governing Institutions Engaging In Credit Card Business Article 53

Unless otherwise provided by other laws or the Competent Authority, credit card business institutions and merchants shall keep confidential all information on credit card applicants or holders which comes into their possession in the course of processing an application for, or the use of, credit cards by cardholders.The provisions of the proceeding paragraph shall also apply to information which has come into the possession of a credit card business institution or a merchant due to an official or contractual relationship.
