Offshore Islands Development Act Article 17

Regulations on the subsidies referred to in Articles 12 to 14 shall be prescribed by the Steering Committee for Offshore Islands Development in consultation with the central competent authorities, and submitted to the Executive Yuan for approval.Education and culture in the Penghu, Kinmen, Matsu, Ludao (Green Island), Lanyu, and Liuqiu areas shall be guaranteed, and the Ministry of Education in consultation with related competent authorities shall prescribe regulation on student admission recommendation, to support and promote cultivation of talents in these areas.
