Fundamental Science and Technology Act Article 15
The government shall confer favorable treatment, provide insurance, or take other necessary measures for scientific and technological personnel employed by the government to engage in highly specialized, hazardous, or important topics of research, or to work in special circumstances.Scientific and technological personnel with major achievements in scientific and technological research shall be provided necessary awards in order to honor their contributions.The favorable treatment, insurance, and other necessary measures awarded for personnel with major achievements referred to in Paragraph 1 and Paragraph 2 of this Article shall be prescribed by the competent authorities in charge of the relevant industries at the central government.

政府對於其所進用且從事稀少性、危險性、重點研究項目或於特殊環境工作之科學技術人員，應優予待遇、提供保險或採取其他必要措施。
對於從事科學技術研究著有功績之科學技術人員，應給予必要獎勵，以表彰其貢獻。
前二項關於科學技術人員之優予待遇、提供保險或採取其他必要措施、著有功績者之獎勵，由各中央目的事業主管機關定之。
