Long-Term Care Services Act Article 1
This Act is enacted to strengthen the long-term care service system, to ensure the provision of adequate long-term care services, to safeguard the quality of care and support services, to promote the development of accessible, diverse, and affordable services, and to guarantee the dignity and the rights for both the persons receiving services and the care providers.No person shall be subjected to discrimination or unequal treatment in the provision of long-term care services on the grounds of gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, marriage, age, disabilities, illnesses, social or economic status, race, religion, nationality, or place of residence.

為健全長期照顧服務體系提供長期照顧服務，確保照顧及支持服務品質，發展普及、多元及可負擔之服務，保障接受服務者與照顧者之尊嚴及權益，特制定本法。
長期照顧服務之提供不得因服務對象之性別、性傾向、性別認同、婚姻、年齡、身心障礙、疾病、階級、種族、宗教信仰、國籍與居住地域有差別待遇之歧視行為。
