The maximum yield of nicotine contained in cigarettes is 1 milligram per cigarette stick; the maximum yield of tar is 10 milligrams per cigarette stick.The maximum content or levels of nicotine and tar in tobacco products other than cigarettes shall be announced by the central competent authority.
