Regulations for Registration of Medicinal Products Article 76-4
The merchandise name of a Chinese medicine product shall not be similar or identical to the merchandise name of any product of other drug companies, and shall not involve counterfeiting or insinuation.If an applicant intends to name a new product after another of the applicant’s approved drugs with an annotation, then the annotation shall not cause inappropriate association or confusion between the original and annotated product names.

中藥之商品名，不得與其他藥商藥品之商品名相同或近似，且不得涉及仿冒或影射情事。
新申請案擬使用申請人原有藥品許可證之品名加註其他字樣者，所加註之字樣，不得使人對原品名與加註字樣之品名有不當聯想或混淆。
