Act Governing Food Safety and Sanitation Article 5

The competent authority at all levels shall establish a food sanitation and safety monitoring system based on scientific evidence. Upon discovery of incidents that may pose a risk to food sanitation and safety during monitoring, an active inspection shall be conducted and an early warning shall be issued or other necessary measures shall be implemented.The active inspection, issuance of early warning, or implementation of necessary measures referred to in the preceding paragraph which will be done by the competent authority shall include conducting sampling and analysis, investigating the source of raw materials and the flow of the product, publishing analysis results, disclosing other relevant information and ordering food business operators to conduct self-analysis.
