A physician may receive specialist training only after completing postgraduate general clin-ical medical training (Post-Graduate Year Training, abbreviated as PGY and hereinafter re-ferred to as “PGY Training”) and obtaining a certificate of completion. However, the fol-lowing provisions shall apply under the respective circumstances specified below:1. A physician who, after the amendments to these Regulations took effect on June 11, 2010, completed the PGY Training prescribed in the PGY Training program announced at that time by the central competent authority shall be exempt from Articles 3 and 4.2. A current-year graduate of a baccalaureate Chinese medicine program with a double major in medicine shall undertake PGY Training in accordance with Article 6.

中文原文專科醫師分科及甄審辦法第2條

醫師於完成畢業後綜合臨床醫學訓練（Post-GraduateYearTraining，簡稱PGY，以下稱一般醫學訓練），並取得證明文件後，始得接受專科醫師訓練。
但有下列情形之一者，從其規定：
一、本辦法中華民國九十九年六月十一日修正生效後，已完成中央主管機關當時公告之一般醫學訓練計畫所定一般醫學訓練，免適用第三條及第四條規定。
二、中醫學系選醫學系雙主修應屆畢業生接受一般醫學訓練，依第六條規定辦理。
