Midwifery Personnel Act Article 3
A person who meets any of the following eligibility requirements may take the registered professional midwife examination:1. Having graduated from the nurse-midwifery program of a public or registered private junior college, the department of midwifery of a university or independent college, or the department or division of midwifery of a foreign university or independent college that conforms to the recognition requirements of the Ministry of Education, satisfactorily completed an internship, and obtained a certificate of graduation;2. Holding a registered professional nurse certificate, registered nurse certificate or midwife certificate, and having graduated from the graduate institute of midwifery of a public or registered private university or independent college or from the graduate institute of midwifery of a foreign university or independent college that conforms to the recognition requirements of the Ministry of Education, satisfactorily completed an internship, and obtained a certificate of graduation.A person who has graduated from the midwifery program, special midwifery program or nurse-midwifery program of a public or registered private medical vocational high school or school of higher levels, satisfactorily completed an internship, and obtained a certificate of graduation, may take the midwife examination.

具有下列資格之一者，得應助產師考試：
一、公立或立案之私立專科學校護理助產合訓科、大學或獨立學院助產學系或符合教育部採認規定之國外大學、獨立學院助產學系、組畢業，並經實習期滿成績及格，領有畢業證書者。
二、領有護理師、護士或助產士證書，於公立或立案之私立大學、獨立學院助產研究所或符合教育部採認規定之國外大學、獨立學院助產研究所畢業，並經實習期滿成績及格，領有畢業證書者。
公立或立案之私立高級醫事職業以上學校助產科、助產特科、護理助產合訓科畢業，並經實習期滿成績及格，領有畢業證書者，得應助產士考試。
一、公立或立案之私立專科學校護理助產合訓科、大學或獨立學院助產學系或符合教育部採認規定之國外大學、獨立學院助產學系、組畢業，並經實習期滿成績及格，領有畢業證書者。
二、領有護理師、護士或助產士證書，於公立或立案之私立大學、獨立學院助產研究所或符合教育部採認規定之國外大學、獨立學院助產研究所畢業，並經實習期滿成績及格，領有畢業證書者。
