Public Assistance Act Article 44-3
The competent authority may ask the relevant authority (institutions), Associations, corporations or individuals to provide the necessary information needed for the operation of the support efforts under this Act.The competent authority shall properly practice the fiduciary duty for the information gained through the above description. The competent authority shall conduct a safety check on the operation of information; with the retention, processing and utilization of the information being subject to the Personal Information Protection Act.

為辦理本法救助業務所需之必要資料，主管機關得洽請相關機關（構）、團體、法人或個人提供之，受請求者有配合提供資訊之義務。
主管機關依前項規定所取得之資料，應盡善良管理人之注意義務，確實辦理資訊安全稽核作業，其保有、處理及利用，並應遵循個人資料保護法之規定。
