National Health Insurance Act Article 1
This Act is enacted to promote the health of all nationals, administer National Health Insurance (hereinafter referred to as “this Insurance”), and provide health services.This Insurance is compulsory social insurance. Benefits shall be provided during the insured term under the provisions of this Act in case of illness, injury, or maternity that occurred to the beneficiary.

為增進全體國民健康，辦理全民健康保險（以下稱本保險），以提供醫療服務，特制定本法。
本保險為強制性之社會保險，於保險對象在保險有效期間，發生疾病、傷害、生育事故時，依本法規定給與保險給付。
