Regulations for Tuna Longline Fishing Vessels Proceeding to the Indian Ocean for Fishing Operation Article 24
The annual total catch quota (unprocessed round weight, hereinafter the same when referring to “quota” in the following provisions) of the Republic of China in the Indian Ocean and the quota for individual tuna longline fishing vessel shall be announced by the competent authority in accordance with the conservation and management measures.The annual total catch quota of the species with catch limit shall be allocated to large scale longliners and small scale longliners in accordance with the following percentages; however, the additional bigeye tuna or yellowfin tuna quota announced by the competent authority pursuant to Article 31, paragraph 1 is not subject to this provision:(1) Bigeye tuna: 85.7% for large scale longliner fleet, and 14.3% for small scale longliner fleet.(2) Yellowfin tuna: 43% for large scale longliner fleet, and 57% for small scale longliner fleet.In the event that the total catch amount of a species with catch limit has reached 95% of the annual total catch quota as referred to in paragraph 1, the competent authority may order the whole tuna longline fishing fleet to stop catching the concerned species by a deadline.In the event that the total catch amount has reached 95% of the quota allocated to large or small scale longliner fleet as referred to in paragraph 2, the competent authority may order the large or small scale longliner fleet to stop catching the concerned species by a deadline.The period for using the quota as referred to in paragraph 1 shall be from 1 January to 31 December of the current year.The total remaining quota of the current year in the Indian Ocean may be arranged by the competent authority.With the approval from the competent authority, a small scale longliner may obtain the individual vessel quota of maximum two small scale longliners that have waived their replacement qualification. Where such small scale longliner is lost, a fishing vessel built by obtaining the replacement qualification of such small scale longliner in accordance with the Regulations for the Issuance of Building Permit and Fishing License of Fishing Vessel shall succeed to the individual vessel quota originally obtained by the small scale longliner.

我國於印度洋之年度漁獲總配額（以未處理之全魚重量計，以下稱配額者，亦同），及各鮪延繩釣漁船之單船配額，由主管機關依各養護管理措施公告之。
配額限制魚種之年度漁獲總配額，依下列比率分配予大釣船、小釣船。
但主管機關依第三十一條第一項規定公告可申請分配之大目鮪或黃鰭鮪配額，不在此限：
一、大目鮪：大釣船百分之八十五點七；小釣船百分之十四點三。
二、黃鰭鮪：大釣船百分之四十三；小釣船百分之五十七。
配額限制魚種漁獲量達第一項年度漁獲總配額百分之九十五，主管機關得令鮪延繩釣漁船限期停止捕撈該配額限制魚種。
大釣船或小釣船漁獲量達第二項所分配配額百分之九十五，主管機關得令大釣船或小釣船限期停止捕撈該配額限制魚種。
第一項配額使用期間為當年度一月一日至十二月三十一日。
當年度我國於印度洋賸餘之漁獲總配額，由主管機關統籌運用。
小釣船得經主管機關同意，取得最多二艘已放棄汰建資格小釣船之單船配額。
該小釣船滅失後，依漁船建造許可及漁業證照核發準則取得其汰建資格建造之漁船，承受原取得之單船配額。
